Biography

Originally trained in the UK as a German and Russian secondary school teacher at the University of Sheffield , Michael Cooper has spent the last 20 years teaching his native language English in adult education in south-west Germany, focusing mainly on business English. He has worked with a wide range of organisations, from aircraft engineering to hotel management, alongside training young adults as multi-lingual management assistants at the Baden-Badener Sprachschule.

He has been involved in e-learning for over 10 years, providing online tutoring, marking and exam coaching sessions at AKAD University.

On top of that, he is a qualified translator, and does regular work as a proof-reader and editor. Michael has acted for many years as chief examiner for the IHK Karlsruhe in its translator and foreign language correspondent exams, and was awarded the “Karl-Friedrich-Nebenius Medal” in recognition of his services.
