About the Specialization
Around the world, 1.2 billion people still have no access to electricity. Many more suffer from poor-quality supply. The specialization explores how off-grid renewable energy systems can help achieve the United Nations goal of sustainable energy access for all by 2030 and meet international commitments to lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Throughout the specialization, you will find out how you can effectively contribute to this challenge and be involved in this rapidly growing field.
The specialization adopts a unique multidisciplinary perspective to develop innovative mindsets and cross boundaries, key to the off-grid revolution. It is not just engineering or business, social or political. It is all this!

The specialization relies on two complementary courses. The first course focuses on how to foster viable off-grid renewable energy projects. The second course deepens how to advance the enabling conditions for a large deployment of off-grid solutions.

All participants who successfully complete the Off-Grid Renewable Energy Systems will receive a certificate of attendance issued by InnoEnergy and the EOI Foundation (Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness).

Maryse Labriet is a consultant and researcher on climate change, sustainable energy and energy modelling, founder of Eneris Environment Energy Consultants in Spain. She is Faculty Lecturer at the EOI-Madrid.
